The cropped sensor 80D is super easy to use and get used to. There are few features that may be worth the jump up from the 70D. If you are looking for video, this is worth the jump up. For stills, you may or may not find the jump necessary.
This lens is also built for the crop sensor cameras. Although double the price, the quality warrants it and I would recommend spending a bit more and choosing this lens if you plan on shooting a lot of wide angle images.
Unless you need f2.8 for shallow depth and a little lower light, we find this lens to be exceptional. Half the weight, great mid-range, affordable yet sharp. Excellent mid-range lens and part of our own camera bag!
The camera of choice for both David and Ally. Compared to the 5D Mark III system, there was immediately a noticeable difference in the shadows which has made this camera extremely valuable and usable in all situations.
If you do not need the extra f-stop for low light situations, this is a great choice. If you are doing primarily landscape photograph and back alley scenes in Europe as an example, this is a great choice you can’t go wrong with.

The cropped sensor 80D is a 24 megapixel vs 20 with the previous 70D. In low light, this can help. The focusing system improvement is huge and will really help in both still photography and video to capture super sharp images even with longer lenses.

The Tamron 150-600 is awesome! This lens is a great option if you are looking for something that provides a lot of zoom range, but doesn't cost a fortune.

This is my favorite wide angle lens Canon makes. A prime lens that is incredibly sharp. This lens is also rectilinear which simply means that your images will not distort straight lines like some wide angle lenses do.
This has been one of Canon’s staple lenses for years. It is tried and true! For a great telephoto lens with a fast 2.8 aperture, this IS the choice to go with.
If you want to throw the background out of focus, this is the lens. If you want superb quality and color, this is the lens. Although it is not a lens we travel across the world with too often due to it’s weight, it is one of the finest.
This lens is an excellent overall lens that contains some wide angle all the way to a long telephoto range. It is great, but it is heavy.
If you need a lightweight smaller camera body system and love Nikon, this is a great way to go. This camera packs a big punch in a small body!
This camera is blowing the competition away when it comes to a crop sensor system that is fast and reliable. It can shoot in crazy low light situations and yet still get excellent results with it remarkable ISO sensitivity ratings and quality sensor.
If you want the best wide angle Nikon has to offer that many would say is the best wide angle available as a lens today, this is it! A superior quality lens for a full frame sensor that you will love!
For those needing a fast 2.8 aperture on a telephoto, this is the way to go. Excellent lens and everything you need for those sports and action shots in lower light.
With this lens, Nikon has done a great job of filling the need for a long telephoto that will work great with wildlife or sports during daylight. When this lens is on a crop sensor camera, it gives you an incredible reach of 750mm. Perfect for Lions in Africa!
"This is a great travel photography lens for the photographer looking for a good lens, and a lens that allows them the versatility of some wide angle all the way to telephoto without having to change lenses.
This camera gives beautiful results even in really low light conditions. Equipped with a huge 42 mega pixel sensor, landscape photographers will be blown away by the results. If you use adaptors--Metabones for example--you can also fit your other brand lenses to the system.
This lens is excellent for wide angle and the quality is as good and some would say even better than Canon lenses of the same focal length.
